Information We Collect

Water Tracker is designed with privacy in mind. All your data is stored locally on your device, and we collect minimal information:

• Daily water intake records and hydration goals (stored locally)
• App settings and notification preferences (stored locally)
• Anonymous, opt-in usage analytics to help improve the app, via TelemetryDeck (no personal data, no advertising)

How We Use Your Information

Your information is used solely to provide and improve the Water Tracker service:

• Track your daily hydration progress and maintain your history
• Send personalized reminders based on your schedule and goals
• Analyze anonymous usage patterns to enhance app functionality

Data Storage and Security

Your personal data is stored exclusively on your device using secure local storage. We do not have access to your personal hydration data, goals, or usage patterns. If you uninstall the app, all your data is permanently removed from your device.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with third parties for their own purposes, and we never use your data for advertising or cross-app tracking. Your hydration history stays on your device and is not transmitted to our servers. To provide certain features, limited data is handled by the service providers described below: billing (Apple, Google, RevenueCat), anonymous analytics (TelemetryDeck), and local weather (Open-Meteo). Each receives only what that feature needs.

Subscription & Purchase Data

When you make a purchase or start a free trial, transaction data is processed by Apple, Google, and RevenueCat. This includes your subscription status, purchase date, and anonymous transaction identifiers. No personal or health data is ever shared with these services. Under GDPR, RevenueCat acts as a data processor on our behalf under a written data processing agreement; the legal basis for this processing is performance of a contract. Data may be processed in the United States under GDPR-compliant Standard Contractual Clauses. You can manage your subscriptions through your App Store or Google Play account settings. Analytics

With your consent, we use TelemetryDeck to understand how the app is used, such as which features are opened and how often water is logged. TelemetryDeck receives anonymous event data and a non-reversible device identifier; it does not receive your name, email, or account, and we never use it for advertising or cross-app tracking. TelemetryDeck is a privacy-focused, GDPR-compliant processor that does not store IP addresses. Analytics is off until you opt in, and you can change this at any time in the app's settings.

Location and Weather

If you enable weather-adaptive goals (an optional premium feature), the app requests your approximate device location and sends the coordinates to Open-Meteo (open-meteo.com) to retrieve local temperature and humidity. We store only the resulting weather values, not your coordinates, and your identity is never attached to the request. This feature stays off unless you turn it on and grant location permission.

Health Data

With your permission, Water Tracker can read sleep and workout data and write your hydration and caffeine intake to Apple Health (iOS) or Health Connect (Android). This data stays on your device and in your chosen health store; it is never transmitted to us or to any third party. You control these permissions and can revoke them at any time in your device's health settings.

Your Rights

You have complete control over your data:

• Access all your data directly within the app
• Delete your data by uninstalling the app or using in-app reset options
• Export your hydration data for personal use (feature available in app)

Security Measures

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data. Since all data is stored locally on your device, we recommend keeping your device secure with appropriate lock screens and security settings.

Children's Privacy

Water Tracker is safe for users of all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Since all data is stored locally, parents have complete control over their children's data.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of any significant changes through the app or our website. Your continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
